Morocco, Hungary, Germany, China and the
United Arab Emirates. These projects will be
developed between 2018 and 2019 and will
confirm the third position that this company
occupies in Spain.
Despite all that expansion, the United Arab
Emirates remains the most important investment
by the Barceló Hotel Group: “the United
Arab Emirates are well known for their luxury
hotels and according to the MasterCard Index
of Global Destination Cities ranking during
2017 Dubai was the 4th city most visited by international
tourists with 16 million people and
in 2020 the forecast is 20 million, “according
to Jaime Buxó, General Director of Business
The Group already has one holiday hotel: Occidental
Sharjah Grand, with 230 rooms, fifteen
minutes from the Dubai International Airport.
In addition, the Group has also invested in the
Barceló Dubai Marina Residences, with 262
apartments in the heart of the city and, during
this year, the first urban hotel under the
brand-name of ´ Occidental de Dubai¨ will be
launched with 239 rooms. All its facilities stand
out for their modern aesthetics and furniture
which provide space and light.
Morocco is another priority location for the expansion
of the Barceló Group, and where it is
has already been present since 2006. Barceló
Tangier and Allegro Agadir are the two main
hotels that are already operating in Morocco,
along with three others, and they represent
aesthetic resorts, furnished with those tones
that evoke disconnection and comfort, such as
a range of blues or whites.
The Barceló Group is, without a doubt, an
example of achievement, a company in constant
improvement, guided by a modern and
warm aesthetic. The Group from Mallorca pursues
its objectives through principles that seek,
above all, to excel.
