31 Las terrazas se conciben como una cala mediterránea, con topografía escalonada para crear diferentes zonas. The terraces are created to resemble a Mediterranean cove, with stepped topography to create different zones. Blue Wave: The most beautiful bar in the world They say it’s the most beautiful bar in the world. And this was reflected in the latest ‘Restaurant & Bar Design Awards’, in its International Section, which nominates the best interior design in hospitality and which awarded it the 2016 Prize for Best Overall Bar. Located in the port of Barcelona, on the edge of the water, the design of the cocktailbar Blue Wave recreates a wave on the point of breaking which manages to envelop its clients in a marine environment full of shades and reflections. Piezas cerámicas crean el efecto envolvente de la ola enroscándose. Twisting ceramic parts create the wraparound effect of the wave. A tube-shaped room, with the longitudinal facade parallel to the edge of sea water, in 2015 it became a wave, on the verge of breaking, just when the vertical wall of water breaks down to become foam and the sun sends its golden reflections onto the sea. It is the magic of interior design, which makes it possible to capture the essence of a concrete moment. The mixture of the materials devised by The Creative Team envelops and decorates the peculiar morphology of the premises. Small ceramic pieces, matte and glossy, specially made for the project, create the wrapping effect of the wave curling, extending over the floor, wall and ceiling its range of marine colours, from dark blue to white, in a game of gradients, sparkles and nuances. Accompanying the ceramics are other reflective materials, bright or blue, such as slabs of marble, metals and glass. Organized in surfaces and panels, they create a patchwork, and where at the back the bottle cabinet is framed as an element of reference. Metallic profiling and golden elements dot the area dedicated to reflections from sunlight.
