Sanitizing public spaces, maintaining social distance in interior design and being able to manufacture furniture and equipment that
fights against the spread of the Coronavirus, is a challenge that the contract business sector is already facing.
43 The Ministry of Science and Innovation from Spain has published
a study on the challenges and solutions that the habitat sector and the
materials it uses can provide in the fight against Covid-19. The Technological
Institutes Aidimme and Cetem, and the Design and Public Administrations
Working Group have participated in its creation.
The “sanitization” of areas, especially in the field of the contract business,
has become a priority objective for the return to a new normality.
Among the challenges addressed in the document entitled ‘Covid-19
Challenges and Solutions’, three main ones have been identified: the
