experiences in physical spaces, the concept of which I have addressed above is important: spaces
must favour security and must transmit security to those who use them.
In this sense, they point to new trends: square meterage that will have combined uses throughout
the common areas of hotels, indicating a return to the concept of the lobby-receptionconcierge
meeting area-bar, with the aim of offering a more friendly face to the local client.
Reimagined Banquet and Event Rooms for Hybrid Celebrations; bar-rooms without counter-bars
in which to share a tapa; or reserved areas in restaurants for groups.
If indoor spaces are transformed to become safer and healthier, any outdoor space has now become
the new jewel in the crown. The new outdoors - and all its comfort elements - will become
an indisputable competitive advantage that the parish in winter will embrace with the heat from
heaters and blankets, and in summer it will become an oasis of freshness of vertical gardens and
vaporizers. Terrace bars and `rooftops´ are going to live their first great wave of popularity: the
`terrace bar´ has the potential to be a very frequent `trending topic´ on our Instagrams during
2021. Trends with just one goal: to continue turning spaces into experience boxes ... as safely
as possible.
