When elephants fly
The Bierwinkel Experience brewery in Valencia breaks with all the stereotypes in designing this type of space,
creating a pink universe thanks to the Sinmas studio.

Bierwinkel. “I don’t know why breweries
have to be all the same. I thought that
we should not place any limits on creativity
and that we could break some stereotypes”.
This is how the Sinmas team, Sigfrido Serra
and Mateo Climent, has created a futuristic
brewery with a pop aesthetic, inspired by the
well-known pink elephant logo of the Belgian
beer ‘Delirium Tremens’.
This is an open space where Sinmas has managed
to create intimate environments via small
areas plus dividers and the distribution of the
furniture itself. The furniture has been created
with curved and sinuous lines that give the
user a pleasant feeling of comfort. The use of
pink in a major push “provides an experience
not known so far in breweries” says Serra and
Climent.
The counterpoint is given by details in white,
black and blue, combined with more natural
materials such as raffia, wood and textile. Patricia
Urquiola, Josep Lluscá, Pablo Gironés
and Marià Castelló are some of the designers
who have created the pieces that furnish this
space.
