la geometría exista según se ha proyectado. Que el proyecto conserve su
esencia tanto con luz natural y como con luz artificial. Que el espacio
se lea por capas teniendo en cuenta la materialidad, la profundidad y su
complejidad visual. La complejidad perceptiva. El detalle.
Cada vez somos más los que descartamos hoteles por las fotografías de
la web: iluminación demasiado homogénea, fría, sin contrastes, pobre,

impersonal… que no nos transmiten sensaciones agradables y por lo
tanto consideramos que no responden a los estándares de calidad que
marcan las estrellas que se le han otorgado. Los descartamos intuitivamente
porque no inspiran confort. Desde luego no pensamos que
es culpa de la luz, pero generalmente lo es, y al fin y al cabo nuestro
juicio inicial y el más valioso es que no reflejan la experiencia por la
que deseamos pagar.

Many of you have probably wondered at some point about the criteria for establishing the category of a hotel. What
are the parameters that define an establishment a 1- star or a 5- star hotel? Well, we can tell you that good lighting
is unfortunately not one of them.
Currently each country decides the requirements
that hotels must meet to be assigned
stars, and that is why there are so many qualitative
differences between one country and
another in terms of hotels in the same category.
The basic criteria focus on the size of the
rooms, cleanliness and the availability of certain
services (existence of elevators, languages
spoken by employees, number of private
bathrooms, parking, lounges, swimming pools,
spa ...). However, many services that are not so
objective but that today are considered basic
are not contemplated: not the friendliness of
the staff, nor the decoration, neither of course
the lighting. The customer experience does not
influence the category of a hotel but it does influence
other standards such as Michelin stars
in terms of the cuisine.
Luxury today is the complete experience. As
a result, the star rating standards have become
completely obsolete. The client wants
to take his memory of his stay with him. He
seeks comfort and comfort is sensory, visual,
perceptual.
All of us, when accessing a place, receive in
milliseconds a series of inputs that will determine
an immediate judgment. We will decide if
