The Firm was created in Andalusia in the mid 70’s by its founder, José Ríos, a textile trader who soon began to develop his own designs, and who began to make inroads into the world of fashion, decoration and furniture. Up till now Rioma has been developing integrated decoration projects in collaboration with designers and interior designers who specialize in the Contract business. It therefore adapts its fabrics and personalizes them according to the needs of each project, paying attention to details that are particularly important in this sector such as compliance with safety regulations in public and general buildings: and in pursuit of this, it has developed the Roam line of fabrics with fire resistant properties. Fabrics made with the most advanced technology Rioma is strongly committed to the quality of its products so it therefore manufactures upholstery products to withstand the passage of time and to obtain excellent results in terms of wear and tear and resistance tests. To achieve this, it uses Microsue® cloth that guarantees maximum quality and durability. The company carries out internal analyzes and tests in its laboratory, which has been ISO 9001 certified. It also collaborates with other laboratories, such as AITEX (Technological Textile Institute), in order to certify parameters of resistance to light, wear and tear or fire, among others. On the other hand, the Contract business also seeks textiles with specific properties that support the day to day requirements of a hotel or restaurant. That is why Rioma fabrics have anti-stain treatment (Resistant®), which facilitates cleaning and daily use. And to ensure that they do not lose color with washing, the Company works exclusively with high range dyes (Tenacil®) that can handle more intense and durable colours. In addition, it boasts the Oeko-Tex® certification, which accredits a healthy production system that complies with European environmental regulations for articles in direct contact with the skin. These accreditations and the high level of personalization allow Rioma to adapt to each project and to seek the best solution to the needs of its clients by providing all its knowledge and accumulated experience.
