An unusual Diva
The word “Diva” applies to a goddess or deity. A diva is an artist who enjoys superlative fame. Diva is divine, excellent

and exquisite. And this is La Diva, a space on a dramatic scale with the qualities of a lady.
Between virtuosity and debauchery. The interior
design of La Diva is located at this point
of singular balance, a space that transforms
its use from a restaurant to a place for drinks,
music and dance, depending on the time of
day: food, drinks and music.
La Diva responds to the new hotel concept
that merges uses, from gastronomy to leisure,
including live sessions with a DJ. And interior
design contributes effectively to these changes
of functionality. For example, it is currently
competing for the 2022 Restaurant & Bar
Design Awards, which will soon select the best
interior designs from venues around the world.
Playing with the Diva
Proyecto Singular designed its interior architecture:
“It is a tribute to the figure of the
diva, a perfect setting between virtuosity and
debauchery inspired by the modernist architecture
of the city of Valencia”.
The Diva plays games. “It shows its most public
face with big shows, which is reflected in
the central nave, with a theatrical character of
furniture and light installations. And its most
intimate face materializes in the boxes, reserved
where unusual elements merge”.
And in all of this, lighting is configured as one
more element, especially decisive, with a technological
deployment that has been one of the
big investments in the premises: “The spaces
are transformed through lighting, to accommodate
the duality day /night, so characteristic
of a magnetic and extravagant artist”.
Golden Seduction
Marble and wood, ceramics and velvet, brass
and natural vegetation create a unique visual
impact, with nods to art deco, modernism and
the Belle Epoque, artistic movements of the
first decade of the 20th century and gilded like
the brass of La Diva. A metal latticework surrounds
a large skylight, surrounded by palm
trees that point to this powerful entrance of
natural light; the metal latticework is the
unique element runs through and unifies the
spaces.
The premises reveal a display of decorative
details that are reflected through different elements:
from wallpaper to upholstery, and even
hydraulic tiles. “These tiles, so characteristic
of modernism, play an important role, providing
a coquettish and at the same time modern
air to noble materials such as wood”.
Coquettish and dazzling, mischievous and elegant,
seductive and fun: La Diva makes her
appearance and leaves no one indifferent.
