Septiembre es para nosotros un mes lleno de ilusión
no solo porque supone una reentré para los empresarios
tras el verano, sino también por la celebración
de Feria Hábitat Valencia, un evento que reúne a las
mejores firmas nacionales e internacionales del diseño
para el hábitat. Y más aún este 2022 en que la ciudad
de Valencia es Capital Mundial del Diseño. Por eso
nuestro número de septiembre siempre viene cargado
con lo mejor de ese mundo que es el de la creación de
productos para el contract bellos, funcionales y que
perduren en el tiempo. Como lo son los diseños de
Patricia Urquiola, nuestra flamante protagonista de
la sección Coffee Break; o los productos y proyectos
de interiorismo de Teresa Sapey, que firma el artículo
del Meeting Point. No es casualidad que ambas sean
mujeres, como tampoco lo es que nuestra entrevista
Flash a jóvenes talentos también sea, en este número,
una mujer. Porque, como dice María Porro, presidenta
del Salone del Mobile.Milano: “la mejor forma
de romper el techo de cristal es no creer que hay un
techo de cristal”. Así que os presentamos una spaincontract
sin techo, que vuela tan alto como lo hace el
diseño español.
September is a month full of hope for us, not only
because it represents a return for businessmen after
the summer, but also because the celebration of the
Habitat Fair of Valencia brings together the best national
and international design firms from the habitat
industry.
And even more so this year in 2022 when the city of
Valencia became the World Design Capital. That’s
why our September issue is always loaded with the
best from that world that is the creation of beautiful,
functional contract products that last over time. Such
are the designs by Patricia Urquizo, our new protagonist
in the Coffee Break section; or the products and
interior design projects of Teresa Spey, who signs off
the Meeting Point article. It is no coincidence that
both are women, nor is it that our interview section
´Flash´ which covers young talents also concerns, in
this issue, a woman. Because, as María Porro, president
of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, says:
“The best way to break the glass ceiling is to not
believe there is a glass ceiling.” So, we present you
a spaincontract without a roof, that flies as high as
Spanish design.
