The hotel that has captivated 2022 Maderalia
Textures, materials, colours, shapes under a versatile and surprising language that ranges from organic to plastic in
a tremendously dynamic area. This is the Tailor{H}otel, the estudi{H}ac – jmferrero installation that become one of
the great attractions at 2022 Fimma-Maderalia.

Held at the Valencia Fair in the last week
of March, Fimma-Maderalia Fair returned
the magic of the senses to the 2022 edition,
the first face-to-face event since 2018. The
display of creativity and innovation that has
accompanied the sector has managed to captivate
the visitor too. And a good example of
this was the installation of estudi{H}ac – jmferrero.
Tailor{H}otel aroused fascination from
the first sight. From the curved forms of its
architecture to the arrangement of materials
and products, the shaping and equipping of different
rooms in a hotel. “The play and work
of textile patterns are the source of inspiration
for creating an entirely flexible system of
horizontal and vertical surfaces to represent
the materials under a new approach.” The studio
plays with patterns “using transparency
and opacity in architectural juxtaposition” to
create an installation with dynamic material
compositions that offers a unique perspective.
Different environments make up this unique
exhibition of contract and hospitality design,
materials and products: Lobby, suite, spa, terrace
and the attractive Barraca lounge, a
functional wooden space that has been the
venue for the technical seminars, conferences
and debate forums at the fair. From the beginning
of the tour, a spectacular counter welcomes
the visitor with the rotundity of its wood,
who can distinguish emblematic pieces from
the trajectory of estudi{H}ac – jmferrero furnishing
each space: the elegance of Sancal’s
Magnum armchairs, which recall cognac
glasses, and the Casta armchairs, with their
castanet shape; the Hari seats, by Ondarreta,
inspired by textile workshops; the Plisse Stone
wood and metal collection, by VicalDesign;
the subtlety of the lines of the Aro bathroom
pieces, by Krion-Porcelanosa, inspired by the
cult of tea in Japanese culture; the Cricket family
of chairs, from the Alexandra Collection,
whose piece has been inspired by traditional
English sport’s garments and has been transferred
to the bedroom; the Bowler collection,
by Blasco&Vila, with its armchairs recreating
one of the designer’s favourite garments:
what we call a bowler hat or bowler hat; the
Mist planter-lamps, by Point, at the entrance;
or the faceted surfaces of Vases, by Vondom,
decorating the terrace. But not only them.
The decorative lighting shows pieces such as
Ali, by Estiluz; Plisse Lamp, by Vicaldesign;
Porta, from Aromas del Campo; and Marquis,
from Vondom. All of them make up a place of
magnetic elegance, enhanced by the diversity
of materials in floor and wall tiles.
